Another Crusoe-like game that got me in trouble with teachers. Mostly for arguing that portable heaters and blankets aren't any use to someone stuck EVA on the moon. (Heat exchange via convection requires an atmosphere. The moon doesn't have one.)
In light of the fact that we're mostly older than ten, here, I'm going to ramp up the challenge. You are stuck on the moon in a suit, out in the boonies. You have two hours of air, and the nearest station is three hours away on foot. You will have to cross the part of the dark side of the moon to get to the station, where it will be freezing. You have with you or available to you:
- a blanket
- a diesel-powered heater (basically a motor that gets really hot, and blows out hot air)
- a skateboard
- tinned dog food
- three two-by-four wood blocks
- electrical wiring
- a screwdriver, spanner and battery-solder kit
- aerosol spray paint
What do you do?
(There is no right or wrong solution, the idea here is creativity. If physics gets in your way, then psha to physics.)
